This practice is designed to rehearse those pivotal situations in a fully opposed, competitive environment where players must react quickly and make decisions under pressure.

With multiple 1v1 contests taking place simultaneously, attackers are challenged to show control, change of pace, and confidence on the ball, while defenders must read body shape, close space, and time their challenges effectively.

By varying starting positions and angles of pressure, the drill recreates the different types of duels that regularly occur in matches — building players who are more composed, decisive, and difficult to beat.
